Weakness for the ocean looking like a pool it is so transparent and endless days of salt and sun? ME! I have a strong infatuation for the beach, but I must say Bimini exceeded every expectation I had. We decided to take the boat there for a weekend and stay at the Hilton Resort in Bimini.
The waters are clearer than a pool and the sand whiter than powder. (I’m not exaggerating!) We explored the island on the boat and anchored at a sandbar. We enjoyed the day cooking out there and swimming. You can literately see the colorful fish swimming around you. I heard there were a lot of sharks, but thank God we didn’t see any while we were taking a dip!
The next day we went to the SS Sapona. For those who don’t know, the SS Sapona was a huge cargo boat that sunk in a hurricane in the 1920’s. The ship wreck is still there and you can go dive and even climb it to take pictures. I’m not going to lie, it scared us girls to go up there, but we did snorkel and swim around there. There were tons of fishes and sea creatures.
The Hilton at Resorts World Bimini was perfect. They have an awesome infinity pool overlooking the crystal clear turquoise water. They also have restaurants and lounges all over the resort. The best part is that they have a marina to dock your boat which made it super convenient; and we all know convenience is key to a real vacation! #biminibliss
